In this 1958 Sunday strip Schroeder shares photographs from his pilgrimage to Beethoven's birthplace in Bonn. The first panel shows the front of the house in which Beethoven was born. The fourth is of the famous but uninspired statue of Beethoven by Ernst Julius Hähnel in the main town square that dates to 1845. The eighth panel shows Schroeder in front of Niaoum Aronson's bust from 1905 in the back garden. The tenth panel shows the rear of the house, including the second story room that the Beethoven-Haus designates as the "birth room."
